FAQs
Nope. There’s no price to attend, and no registration cost, because you’re coming in a costume – and we feel like that investment is more than enough. We do expect everyone who’s attending to select a character to RSVP, though.
Yes. You wouldn't attend the Met Gala in your PJs! While your costume doesn't have to break the bank, we expect everyone to dress up in some way. Buy a Meeseeks shirt if you're in doubt!
We’ve done 11 of these events to date (if we’re counting correctly) and a lot of the magic comes from the fact that everyone gets to be a different character. It really adds to the magic of the day to say who picked who, to meet the “characters” related to your character, and so on. Given that you can pick from every character original to Cartoon Network, there are more than enough options.
Then the character you want is already taken. BUT if you DM party founder @grahamnolan he can help you pick a character or help you order “off menu” – like, if there’s a Rick & Morty character you want who’s not on the list, but whom you think would make a great costume.
Once the organizers see that we’re down to 50 characters, we’ll add more. Worry not. If we do run low, we’ll get creative about expanding options while staying on theme. And remember: We're allowing multipe folks to be versions of Mr. Meeseeks from Rick & Morty. If you know the character, you know that the fun of his story was how many duplicates and versions there were of him. Plus, it's a relatively simple, inexpensive lewk to pull off. (When we did Kill Bill, we had a ton of Crazy 88s. When we did the X-Men crawl, we had a lot of Multiple Men. You get it.)
2:00PM. And we highly suggest you’re not late: the professional photographer capturing photos at the first bar starts promptly at 2:30PM.
Oh my science YES! Please bring. But they must also RSVP and choose a unique character. Invite them by sending them this website so they can pick a unique character/costume!
No, not at all. You can simply pick an outfit that resembles the look of your character. Some people will do store-bought. Some will do custom-made. Some will do athleisure. As long as we can tell what character you’re trying to represent, we good. Be creative!
This is specifically NOT a Comic Con style cosplay. There’s no costume contest or judging for accuracy. We find that this party gets more fun the more we welcome people to do some sort of stylish interpretation of the character. But also, if you love the character’s style much you want to match them exactly, and that’s what makes you feel good, do it!
It’s cool that you would even ask. If you give cash at the Donate page, the money simply goes to the artists, performers, DJs and photographers who will make the event magical.
No problem! Drinking is optional. These pub crawls are about community and fun, not just drinking.
